4/03/2008 SENATE PASSES LEGISLATION TO INCREASE PENALTIES FOR LEAVING THE SCENE OF A BOATING ACCIDENT The New York State Senate today passed legislation, sponsored by Senator John DeFrancisco (R-C-I-WF, Syracuse) that would increase the penalties for boaters who leave the scene of a boating accident, making them consistent with the penalties imposed for leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident.
